This simple addition provides a set of off-stage patient & staff elevators to ease the pressure on the existing elevators in Froedtert’s North Bed Tower. Vertical slots of glass curtain wall maximize daylight and views into the elevator lobbies and egress stair and act as gaskets to the existing building.

The darker metal panel cladding distinguishes itself from the cream-colored North Tower, but relates in its texture & alignment. Variations in the panel type give the building an almost curtain-like appearance that changes as shadows move throughout the day, and pattern shifts at regular intervals break down this tall box into an understandable human scale.
